However, not all plurals are formed by using -s, -es, or -ies. Some nouns use -ves or -en to form plurals. Such plurals are called irregular plurals.

Words used with countable plural nouns
Normally, we use words like the, a few, some, many, or any before regular plural nouns.

We use the before nouns only when discussing something in particular, not general.

Countable and Uncountable Nouns for Class 4
Nouns that cannot be counted using numbers are called uncountable nouns.
