Compound Nouns

A compound noun is a noun made of two or more words. 

For example,

  1. bedroom (one word)

  3. son-in-law (hyphenated)

To form plurals of compound words,

1. adds to the principal word.

2. add s at the end of the word when it has no obvious principal word.
